‘- On Wednesday, a pair of familiar faces in NXT got married as Roderick Strong and Marina Shafir officially tied the knot. She two were engaged in December 2015 and have a son named Troy, who was born in April 2017.
Strong was one of the hottest talents on the Indy scene to join NXT. After working as a face, he joined the Undisputed Era after Bobby Fish suffered an injury. Now, he is considered part one of the NXT Tag Team Champions as they defend the titles under the Freebird Rule. Besides being in NXT, Strong also briefly appeared on 205 Live at the start of year as part of a tournament to crown a new Cruiserweight Champion.
As for Shafir, she is former MMA fighter turned pro wrestler. She just starting appearing on TV, aligning herself with her fellow Four Horsewomen. At Evolution, Shafir and Jessamyn Duke helped Shayna Baszler become a two time NXT Women’s Champion. We will have to see if Duke and Shafir appear at the next set of TV tapings.

– Back in April, WWE held the Greatest Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia. Chris Jericho worked the show, where he was originally booked against Undertaker in Casket match but later that spot went to Rusev. Instead, Jericho took part in the 50 person Rumble Match and served as the final entrant.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jericho was paid $100,000 for the appearance. Considering Jericho looked a bit out of shape and lasted a little over three minutes, it was a nice pay day. Right now, Jericho is busy with projects outside of WWE and that includes working for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
