‘- Crown Jewel might still be taking place despite the backlash, but nothing has changed on John Cena’s front as he refuses to work the show. Cena is scheduled to take part in an eight person tournament called the World Cup.
While WWE is yet to remove Cena or announce a replacement, WrestleVotes states that Bobby Lashley is the leading choice to enter the tournament.
Upon returning to WWE, Lashley received a decent push that included a clean win over Reigns on pay per view. Then after doing very little, he returned to TV as a heel with Lio Rush as his manager. A major obstacle is that Lashley is reportedly dealing with a separated shoulder. He could always enter the tournament and lose in the opening round in a quick match to avoid any further damage.
Crown Jewel is November 2 and comes from the Saudi Arabia at the King Saud University Stadium. Below is the current card.

– NXT UK superstar Tyler Bate is out with an undisclosed injury. He was set to compete in England for PROGRESS this weekend, but they mentioned on social media how he was hurt and unable to wrestle. WWE is yet to make an announcement.
Bate was the inaugural WWE UK Champion after winning a 16 man tournament almost two years ago. He then dropped the title to Pete Dunne at TakeOver: Chicago in a classic encounter and he still holds the title some 520 plus days later.
