Alexa Bliss’ Raw Championship reign is in danger as Nia Jax takes on the Goddess of the WWE at WrestleMania 34. Will Nia take the title from Bliss? Or will Bliss reign supreme? Let’s see what the experts at Ringside Intel have to say.

Sandra’s Predictions

Out of all the matches on the card, this one I find most difficult to predict. Alexa Bliss has held the title for a while now, and Nia Jax is indeed someone that could take the title from her. Of course, the same could have been said by Bliss’ previous rivals, but Alexa still came out on top. Many fans are also emotionally invested in the feud. The bullying angle has touched many fans. Many are awaiting the outcome of this rivalry. Will the bully win? Or will Nia prove she is the strongest?

I do see one big problem when it comes to a title switch. Even though Nia is quite popular among the WWE Universe, and even though fans are supporting her as the victim of a bullying storyline, Alexa Bliss remains remarkably popular. She is also a big merchandise seller, so I do not think Bliss will drop the title anytime soon.

Of course, Bliss holding onto the title could be bad news for many of the women on the Raw brand. Not everyone is used on the roster either. A title change could switch things up for the other women on the roster.

Still, I do not see the Raw Women’s Championship changing hands at WrestleMania. It is more likely that Alexa will get a new opponent after WrestleMania, which could be a call-up from the NXT roster such as Billy Kay, Kairi Sane, Nikki Cross, or Peyton Royce.

There are loads of possibilities, so it is no surprise this one is difficult to predict. Still, if I had to make a decision, I say Alexa retains. If Alexa wins, the WWE could do more with Nia Jax and move her to the SmackDown brand. In turn, if Asuka wins the title from Charlotte, Nia could take on Asuka for the championship. She had a good feud going on with Asuka on the side, so I’m sure the WWE can repeat it on a bigger scale on the SmackDown brand. Nia might also be used more on another brand, instead of being the “hurt” friend of Alexa Bliss.

Katie’s Predictions

With Charlotte vs. Asuka penned in as the other women’s singles match on the WrestleMania card, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax are going to have to work a little harder to get noticed on Sunday. But I’m confident this match will stand out, if only because Bliss’s reign as Raw Women’s Champion will finally come to an end.

To be frank, I don’t see a scenario in which Bliss retains. She’s been champion since the end of August, and while I think she’s fantastic and deserves all the praise, it is time for a new champ. The whole premise of this match is that Bliss is a bully who shamelessly makes fun of her ex-best friend’s appearance. As pointed out above, the storyline is resonating with a lot of WWE fans who have faced bullying themselves. So how would it look if WWE let the bully win?

As for Jax, WWE has been trying to pull the trigger on her for a while. Now is the time. Not only is she coming off a fantastic series of matches with Asuka, but she also has the support of the WWE Universe in this all-too-real feud with bully Bliss. It’s Nia’s time to shine.

Hunter’s Predictions

Like most of the matches on this year’s Mania card, this one goes back nearly a year. Alexa recruited Nia as her heavy, and it seemed to work for a while as #TeamRude until a hidden camera revealed Alexa to be the manipulative backstabber and lousy friend she is. WWE is wading into the Fat-shaming/Body Positivity controversy with grace and nuance the company didn’t possess even three years ago. This match isn’t going to be a 5-Star All-Japan Women’s Classic. This match will tell a story. Alexa and Nia are two of the best stars to come out of NXT and the Performance Center. They both have an appeal that transcends what female wrestlers could do in the past. I expect Nia to win. A few people have brought up that this has the potential to be an instantaneous squash. I think that’d be an excellent way to cement Nia as the bad-ass but vulnerable hero.  But, I always expect the good guys (and girls) to triumph on the biggest show of the year. The time is the right moment for WWE to make Nia Jax the star she has the potential to be.
