Someone Left A Loaded Gun In Shelton Benjamin’s Rental Car

Wrestlers must have a good reputation since they represent a worldwide brand. They are always under scrutiny, so anything untoward is in the media immediately.

Unfortunately, the bad luck just hit Shelton Benjamin, even though him being featured in the media is of no fault of his own. Here is the story.

Beware the Rental Car

Imagine the following situation: you acquire a rental car and drive around in it comfortably for a couple of days. After a couple of days, you open the glove compartment, only to find a loaded gun! This is precisely what happened to WWE Superstar Shelton Benjamin.

Furious

As you can imagine, Shelton Benjamin is angry about the situation. His tweet to the car rental service says it all, and I cannot say I blame him.

Shelton Benjamin is 100% correct when he says the rental car company put his freedom, life, and reputation in jeopardy, so I can only imagine how upset he is about the situation. The rental company did respond, stating they would transfer the matter to local law enforcement.

Budget Rental Cars

Surprisingly, Budget is a rental car company with affiliates all over the world. While you could argue that smaller companies have more of an eye for details, it is still a surprise such a thing can happen with a big rental business like that.

It is not uncommon for bigger companies to have some problems locally. I would assume not all Budget Car Rental companies are evil, but rather some affiliates that are poorly managed. I am confident that there will be some investigation from the Budget head office into the branch that provides Shelton Benjamin with his vehicle.

Naturally, the incident will have some repercussions for the rental car company, since it shows that the company pays little attention to the overall maintenance and checks of their cars. I hope this was a wake-up call for them. Still, the incident with Shelton Benjamin will undoubtedly have negative consequences for business.

Conclusion

The incident with Shelton Benjamin certainly gave us all a lesson. We should never take a rental car without checking everything thoroughly first, and not blindly trust the rental car service. Fortunately, Benjamin discovered the gun before he got in trouble for it, but it could have been much worse.
