With a new year in sight, it is time to speculate about the possible inductees for the WWE Hall of Fame. Some names are rumored to be added to the Hall of Fame this year, and here they are!
Ivory
There are some people on the rumored list of which I am surprised they are not in the Hall of Fame yet. One of these people is Ivory, a woman I remember quite vividly from the attitude era.
Yes, Ivory may not have been one of the most outstanding female wrestlers in the ring, especially not during a time where the likes of Chyna, Trish Stratus, and Lita were common occurrences. However, Ivory has an unmatched charisma that always drew my attention. Therefore, she is certainly worthy of an induction in my book.
Bam Bam Bigalow
Another wrestler who is long overdue for a Hall of Fame induction is Bam Bam Bigalow. Fortunately, he is on the rumored list this year, so I hope he finally gets it. Unfortunately, Bam Bam Bigalow will not be getting his induction in life, since the wrestler died several years ago.
The only reason why Bam Bam Bigalow has not been inducted yet, at least according to rumor, is the weird circumstance surrounding his death. His death was drug-related, but his death should not define the wrestler he was.
The Dudley Boyz
If the Dudley Boyz get inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, it would certainly be deserved. Nobody puts people through a table like these guys, and they have a long track record with the WWE. However, there is only one problem, the pair is still considered as active wrestlers.
It is common knowledge that the WWE does not like to induct wrestlers who are currently working for another promotion, which makes total sense. However, an induction for the Dudley Boyz in the Hall of Fame is earned in my opinion.
Goldberg
If I would have to pick one wrestler of which I am sure he will be inducted, it is probably Goldberg. Making his triumphant return to the company, and mending bridges with management, Goldberg is likely to be inducted in 2018.
I have a personal fondness for Goldberg, mainly because he is such a nice person. He is one of those rare wrestlers who gives a damn about the fans, so for that fact alone I would put him in the Hall of Fame next year. Of course, another reason I would put him in is this: he beat Lesnar (evil laugh)! Add to that the fact that Goldberg was one of my other half’s favorite wrestlers growing up, and you have the star attraction of your Hall of Fame ceremony right there in my book!
My Take on the Rumored Inductions
So far, I agree with all the rumored inductees. I only have one question if this rumored shortlist is true. Where is Chyna? Is the WWE really going to have another year of ignoring this marvelous wrestler?
