These Are The Five Best Trios In WWE History

There have been a lot of successful trios in WWE history, but these are our top picks!

1. The Shield

It is difficult not to like the Shield, even if you are one of those fans who love to boo Roman Reigns. Taking on legends such as the Undertaker, Kane, the Rock, and possibly everyone on the roster at the time, the Shield is undoubtedly one of the most impressive trios to ever step foot in the squared circle.

2. The New Day

I have to admit, it is really difficult for me to choose a number one because these guys deserve that number one too. Consisting of Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston, the New Day have provided us with hours of laughter over the years. Of course, they also put in some amazing work inside the ring.

One of the downsides of being a funny trio is that many people tend to forget just how good you are in the ring. However, the New Day has succeeded in keeping their status as legendary wrestlers, while providing some comedy to Joe Public.

3. Team Xtreme

Wait, wasn’t the Hardy Boyz a duo? Technically no, because Team Xtreme was considered a trio: Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Lita. Unfortunately, the personal lives of Matt Hardy and Lita, who were dating at the time, broke up this successful trio after Lita cheated on Matt Hardy. Still, this does not take away their accomplishments, nor the amazing moments they provided us within the ring.

4. D-Generation X

Before the arrival of X-Pac, Billy Gunn and Road Dog, D-Generation X was a trio, more specifically the most successful combination including Triple H, Chyna, and Shawn Michaels. Each member of this trio had terrific abilities in the ring, but again personal lives would interfere with their success.

It is claimed that Triple H was seeing Stephanie McMahon behind Chyna’s back, only for Chyna to discover one of Stephanie’s love letters to her man later. Once she discovered the truth, Chyna was almost filtered out of WWE television.

5. The Brood

Before Edge & Christian became the Rated-R Superstar and Captain Charisma, they played vampires in the Brood. Being in the Brood put this duo on the map, which can partly be attributed to Gangrel (the third member of the brood) and their match with the Hardy Boyz. Yes, they may look a little ridiculous as vampires, but boy did we enjoy these moments.
