Huge Rumor Claims WWE Preparing Big Offer For Former AEW Champion Set To Be Free Agent Soon

A new rumor claims WWE is planning to make an aggressive effort to sign former AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May when she hits free agency in a few months.

With WWE as hot as ever and AEW in a slump, there has been a mass exodus of talent leaving All Elite Wrestling for the No. 1 company in the industry. Recent rumors have suggested women’s division star Mariah May could be the next major name to switch sides. This week, “Wrestle Votes Radio” added fuel to the speculation fire.

“Sources confirm WWE is prepared to make an ‘outstanding offer’ akin to that of a full-court press in an effort to land the current AEW superstar. There’s no indication either way from our sources on how negotiations will go. However we can at least confirm WWE will have heavy interest when the time is appropriate, which looks to be later into the fall of 2025… Spoke to a number of people who said ‘Yes, we are absolutely interested, yes, she fits our TV show, yes, she fits our brand.'”

After a notable run in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Mariah May has made herself a household name with a memorable tenure in AEW. Her long-running feud with former friend Toni Storm has been one of the best in the company over the last year.

Recent reports have suggested that May informed the company that she does not plan to re-sign when her contract is rumored to end in the late summer or early fall. That is why they have allegedly kept her off television in recent months.

The English star reportedly very much wants to make the move to WWE, and it seems the feeling is mutual. “Wrestle Votes Radio” also claimed May is likely to get an offer equal to or better than the one Jade Cargill received in 2023 when she left AEW for WWE.
