Roman Reigns and CM Punk aren’t exactly known for getting along. They’ve traded more shots than handshakes over the years. But that might be about to change as it looks like the pair could forge an alliance on television later this year.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is putting together a big tag team match for later this year that will see Reigns and Punk team up against the new duo of Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. And it all makes sense given what went down after WrestleMania 41. That night, both CM Punk and Roman Reigns were stabbed in the back by their shared friend, Paul Heyman.
During a triple threat match with Rollins, Heyman turned on Reigns, blindsided Punk, and walked away from both men like their friendships meant anything. Then, just to drive the knife in deeper, Rollins and Breakker jumped them the next night on RAW.

However, this won’t be their first time teaming up. Back at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, the two were forced into an uneasy alliance that somehow worked. Not only did they hold it together in the ring, but fans went wild for it.
WWE has a long history of unique and unexpected alliances. Pairings like Kane and Daniel Bryan (Team Hell No). Steve Austin and Triple H (Two-Man Power Trip). Or The Rock and Mick Foley (Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection).
However, considering the massive star power and characteristics of both men, it feels like a new version of the Mega Powers. The legendary team that featured WWE icons Hulk Hogan and “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
