A new WWE rumor has emerged pointing to popular stars like Penta and Finn Balor taking part in a big title match at WrestleMania 41.
We are just a few weeks away from what is shaping up to be the biggest event of 2025. The Royal Rumble in January set up two major title matches. Then the Elimination Chamber locked in the final matchups for the WWE and world titles. In the time since the other pieces of the ‘Mania 41 puzzle have been falling into place.
However, there are quite a few notable stars that don’t have a major matchup set up yet for the event. One perfect example is reigning Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker. He will defend his title on today’s edition of WWE Raw in Scotland against fan-favorite Penta. But a rumor that emerged suggests both could be added to an even larger match at WrestleMania 41.
Penta and Finn Balor are rumored to compete for IC title at WrestleMania 41
On Monday, Fightful Select reported that today’s IC title match could lead to a multi-person bout at next month’s event. The outlet claimed that there are early plans for a four-way dance that will pit Penta vs. Bron Breakker vs. Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio.
Balor lost a chance at the IC gold this month after Mysterio botched an attempt to try and help him win a match against Breakker. The two have been at odds for weeks over who is in control of Judgment Day and the idea of adding a new member.
Penta has quickly garnered a lot of interest from WWE fans after leaving AEW and making his debut earlier this month. He has been at odds with Breakker recently because he is now gunning for his title.
