Disgraced former WWE boss Vince McMahon reportedly plotting the start of a new company

A new rumor claims WWE founder Vince McMahon is working toward starting a new company. However, don’t fear wrestling fans, it looks like it won’t be in the wrestling business.

The last couple of years have forever changed the narrative of Vince McMahon’s place in the professional wrestling industry. For decades, he was known as the man who took over his father’s regional company and turned it into a global brand on par with the NFL and NBA.

Unfortunately, a scandal in 2022 and a lawsuit filed last year have changed the way he is perceived by wrestling fans. No longer is he just the creative genius behind WrestleMania and many memorable moments. He is now also an individual linked to sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations.

The recent suit led to his dismissal from WWE by the TKO Group Holdings board. And the 79-year-old has laid low in the months since. There have been various reports about what he has been up to. And even rumors he could make a return to the wrestling business. But a new story suggests he is looking at a comeback to a different industry.

Even while he was overseeing the vast amount of content WWE puts out each week, McMahon has always dipped his toe in other industries. Including the entertainment business. He has helped produce several films with WWE talent and even started the WWE Studios production company.

Well, it looks like the disgraced former WWE boss is plotting an unexpected return to TV and movie production.

“Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation have confirmed McMahon has been in the process of setting up what has been described as a new ‘entertainment hub company’ that would financially back, develop and produce film and television productions,” PW Insider reported on Tuesday. “The belief among those we’ve spoken with is that there are no plans for this company to launch anything similar to WWE and they would instead focus on fiction and non-fiction projects.”

Former Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum and one-time WWE liaison to Hollywood Kristen Prouty are allegedly also working with Vince McMahon on this new endeavor. However, long-time WWE cohort Kevin Dunn is reportedly not involved in the project.
