WWE Rumors: Updates On Return Timelines For Asuka, Missing Bloodline Member And More Emerge

A new report offers up some huge updates on a trio of impact WWE stars hoping to make their return from injury in the coming months.

The WWE roster is as deep and strong as it has ever been. Due to the company’s impressive scouting and development departments, they have been able to identify and create future stars. However, due to the brand’s massive wealth, they have also been able to retain top stars and bring in valuable veterans from outside the company.

More than ever before, injuries to key talent are not as damaging to the company as they once were. Because there are performers ready to step into elevated roles and make the most of their minutes. However, at full health, WWE has the greatest assembly of professional wrestling talent across their three brands — Raw, Smackdown, NXT.

Well, it looks like the promotion could be getting closer to full health in the months ahead when it comes to missing stars Asuka, Tonga Loa, and Ilia Dragunov.

Asuka expected to return to WWE roster in May

The Japanese legend has been out for close to a year after suffering a serious knee injury that required surgery. On Monday, PW Nexus claimed the multi-time champion is expected to return to the company in May, probably after Backlash 2025 on May 10.

Bloodline member Tongo Loa tore his bicep during the 2024 Survivor Series: War Games match. The outlet claimed he is on a path to getting back in the ring in June. A torn bicep can take up to six months to heal, so the former NJPW is in line with the normal recovery process.

Lastly, former NXT champion Ilia Dragunov is still a way off from getting off the injured list. PW Nexus reported that their sources claimed he is expected back on WWE Raw sometime in September.
