TNA Wrestling Rumored To Be Pursuing 2 WWE Veterans, Including R-Truth

A pair of new reports claims TNA Wrestling is trying to bring in a pair of former WWE stars, including fan-favorite R-Truth.

TNA has been on an upward swing over the last couple of years. And it has been directly and indirectly helped by WWE. Firstly, their current working relationship with the top company in the industry has increased their profile and brand recognition. However, several former WWE stars and champions who have joined the company in that time have done a lot to improve their product.

Well, it seems like the company is looking to go back to that strategy by adding a pair of WWE alums that have been released this year. On Friday, Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer revealed the company has an interest in new free agent R-Truth.

“Those in TNA have already said that they want to make him an offer. And for that company, he’ll come in fairly hot,” he wrote.

Has TNA Wrestling signed former WWE star Cedric Alexander?

However, PW Insider also reported today that TNA is either in contract discussions or has already signed former WWE Tag Team Champion Cedric Alexander.

To the surprise and disappointment of fans worldwide, R-Truth revealed over the weekend that WWE would not be renewing his contract. And his memorable run with the company would be coming to an end this month. Alexander has remained a free agent since he was released from the company in February.

Both would be nice additions for TNA Wrestling. Adding more variety and depth to what has become one of the better rosters in the industry right now.
