While many WWE fans are expecting The Rock to be at WrestleMania 41, “The Final Boss” is still not a lock for this month’s mega-event.
The Rock played a huge role in John Cena’s shocking heel turn at Elimination Chamber. It made many fans assume this was the beginning of a new alliance between the two WWE legends that would play out on the road to WrestleMania 41. Since he “sold his soul” to the future Hall of Famer.
Yet, he has been mentioned very little in the weeks since. It has created speculation that maybe he won’t make the event. On Friday, Dave Meltzer tried to clear up some of the questions in a new edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The Rock’s WrestleMania Still Uncertain
“Everyone presumes he’ll be there in some form the day of the show . But it’s not confirmed to anyone either,” he wrote. “Maybe his appearance is being kept under wraps. Or maybe WWE just hasn’t gotten around to confirming it yet.”
It will be interesting to see if “The Great One” is at all used for the event or if he will reappear further down the road.
