A new report reveals that NXT stars Stephanie Vaquer and Jordynne Grace will soon be moved to the WWE main roster.
On Tuesday night, wrestling fans were stunned when Vaquer lost her NXT Women’s Title to Fatal Influence member Jacy Jayne. It ended a short but very dominant run with the top women’s title in the brand. The unexpected title change led to speculation that Vaquer was either injured or being moved to the WWE main roster.
Well, the answer to that question arrived late last night. According to PW Nexus reporter Cory Hays, Vaquer is expected to land on Netflix with the WWE Raw roster. However, she is not the only NXT talent getting promoted. He also claimed that former TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace is also done in the gold-and-black brand and will be headed to SmackDown very soon.
When asked by a fan about Grace’s short three-month run in NXT, Hays responded by saying in a post on X, “She wasn’t expected to be in NXT long. They didn’t wanna throw her on the main roster close to Mania with no plans.”
It is a stunning change of direction, NXT. Both Roxanne Perez and Giulia were recently promoted to the main roster as well. Now, four of the top female performers for the brand are no longer on the roster. However, the NXT women’s division is quite deep and should be able to weather the losses. Especially with new talent on the way from WWE LFG, and through the ID Program.
Both Vaquer and Grace will be big additions to the main roster. But it will also be harder for them to break through and stand out as they face off with the biggest female performers in the industry on a weekly basis.
