A new report suggests Becky Lynch is being lined up for a major match at the 2025 edition of WWE Evolution.
According to Cory Hays of PWN, the multi-time WWE Women’s Champion has been rumored to be facing fellow NXT four Horsewomen, Bayley. The marquee match could be a headliner for the all-women pay-per-view, which was officially announced to make its return on July 13th in Atlanta, Georgia.
The potential showdown makes sense based on recent events. Bayley and her partner, Lyra Valkyria, were slated to battle Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 41. However, one night before the match, “The Role Model” was found attacked backstage and ruled out of the title showdown.
This led to Becky Lynch making her return as her replacement at “The Show of Shows.” She and Valkyria defeated Morgan and Rodriguez for the tag titles. However, they lost it back to them on the RAW after WrestleMania 41. Following that, Lynch turned heel to begin a feud with Valkyria. She would later admit she was the one who attacked Bayley.
While Bayley remains off television at the moment, the rivalry between her cohort, Lyra Valkyria, and Becky Lynch has been escalating week after week. After the “Bird Lady” retained her WWE Women’s Intercontinental title against “The Man” at Backlash, they are set to collide once again for the championship. The rematch will happen at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in two weeks.
Should Lynch lose the match, she will never be able to challenge Valkyria for the IC title again. The event could see Bayley make her return to WWE and cost Lynch her last chance. Setting up the starting point for the feud between Becky Lynch and Bayley, which culminates in a top-tier match at WWE Evolution.
