If you thought a Rhea Ripley WWE return was taking place around SummerSlam, the latest medical update is not the best news.

For over a year, Rhea Ripley was Women’s World Champion. Around the 13 month mark of this run, she had to vacate the title due to a shoulder injury. The hope was she could return in time for SummerSlam, but it not does look great. Remember, SummerSlam is early this year on August 3 from Ohio. Instead of undergoing surgery, she is relying on rehab.
While it does not look positive for SummerSlam, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted she could always appear for a quick segment to keep storylines going. “Ripley is rehabbing her shoulder rather than having surgery,” the report stated. “Right now she’s not scheduled back for SummerSlambut we were also told if she heals up faster than expected or if the storyline changes to where they need her for an appearance it’s still possible. If rehab can’t mend the shoulder enough, she could need surgery.”
Long-Term WWE Storyline With Liv Morgan And Dominik Mysterio
While away, the women’s division has seen some big changes. Becky Lynch won a battle royal to win the vacated the title, last eliminating Liv Morgan. At King And Queen Of The Ring, Liv defeated “The Man” to win the belt; with Becky now a free-agent. Both wins did see Dominik Mysterio get involved, only for Liv to still win. Now, Morgan is teasing Dominik about taking him away from Rhea as well. If so, Morgan successfully completes her revenge tour.
Upon returning, I can see Rhea turning face. At the same time, I can see her standing opposite Dominik and Morgan. Therefore, she will need to find someone by her side. If The Judgement Day splits, perhaps Finn Balor or Damien Priest helps. So, will Rhea Ripley make a WWE return before SummerSlam or na?
