Punk and Cult of Personality have been an item since 2005. When he first used it as his entrance music in Ring of Honor. He then brought it to WWE in 2011 when he began a peak period in his career. The band actually played it live for his entrance at WrestleMania 29 in 2013, and it was an unforgettable moment for the fans.
Now, more than a decade later, Punk is headlining WrestleMania 41 against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns on April 20th. With Living Colour announcing a performance during WrestleMania week will history repeat itself?
Could Living Colour Perform CM Punk’s WrestleMania Entrance At WrestleMania 41?
According to their website, Living Colour will be performing on April 18th at 9 PM at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. Their announcement reads: “Get ready, Vegas. We’re excited to announce we’re performing April 18th — 9 PM at the Fremont Street Experience during WrestleMania 41 Week!”
While they’re confirmed to perform during Wrestlemania week, there’s been no official word on if they’ll be involved with CM Punk’s entrance at the show two days later. The timing of their show suggests they might be part of the night one main event. Their concert is two days before Punk’s match, so it’s possible they’ll be involved again.
The song’s riffs and lyrics have become synonymous with “The Best In the World” character. And it would be great to see them celebrate Punk’s main eventing the “Grandest stage of them all” for the first time ever.
