New details have come to light on recent reports of a near fight between WWE stars Shayna Baszler and Jade Cargill last year.
During her time in AEW, Jade Cargill seemed like a larger than life personality. The typical big fish in a small women’s division pond at All Elite Wrestling. That is why there was a great deal of excitement when she hit the open market and was signed by WWE. The move would allow her to take her skills and talent to far greater heights.
The former basketball star has always exuded a confidence and passion about being a better performer in the ring. However, she has only been in the industry for a few years. And it seems there are still many things for her to learn, especially when it comes to interacting with her co-workers.
Earlier this month reports emerged of an altercation last summer between Cargill and veteran Shayna Baszler that nearly came to blows. Very little information on the incident had been leaked to the media. All fans know is that it is one of several reasons why many in the WWE women’s locker room are not fans of Cargill.
Well, a new report from Wrestling Observer has shed new light on the surprising clash between Jade Cargill and Shayna Baszler.

Jade Cargill reportedly likes to blame others for problems in matches
In a new edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer claimed that the WWE newcomer has developed a reputation for blaming co-workers when there are problems in matches. In one alleged instance, she pointed to a bruise she earned from a match. And told Baszler to her face that it’s proof she doesn’t know how to work correctly.
It is a bold statement for a performer who has limited experience to one of the most respected performers on the roster of the last decade. It was a claim the former women’s world and tag champ responded to by claiming “”if she was shooting that you and I would both know.” The altercation reportedly became very heated with neither looking to back down. Another wrestler and WWE management had to move in to diffuse the situation.
Cargill asking for time off during the company’s holiday tour also reportedly rubbed many the wrong way. Since no one else asked for PTO. However, Meltzer claims that was just a lack of understanding by the young star about how important the tour was viewed internally.
