Hulk Hogan, one of WWE’s most legendary figures could potentially show up at this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Set for December 14, 2024, the return of the legendary event comes after a 12-year hiatus. This time, at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum . The same venue as the original SNME in 1985. New reports claim WWE wants a nostalgic homage to Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend.
Already confirmed to be involved are several 1980s legends like Jesse Ventura and Jimmy Hart. Whose presence only hypes up the question of whether someone like Hulk Hogan will also be part of the action. During its heyday in the 80’s, the event was synonymous with “The Hulkster.”
A recent rumor from Wrestle Ops claimed the WWE icon is one of the names the company reached out to about a potential appearance on Saturday’s show. And this week a former head of WWE Creative fanned the flames of an appearance by the WWE legend.
Vince Russo on Hulk Hogan and Jesse Venture Feud; Potential Faceoff

Recently, Vince Russo, weighed in during his Legion of RAW podcast, saying he thinks Hogan could make an appearance, and suggested a faceoff onscreen between Hogan and Ventura. There’s a decades-long history of tension between the two, notably due to Ventura’s efforts to unionize wrestlers (which Hogan reportedly tried to thwart by informing WWE executives of the threat).
“I think he is going to appear at the event. I think him being there is good, but I don’t think him not being there matters,” Russo said.
Even though WWE has not confirmed Hogan’s participation, this kind of unexpected moment is still on the table under Triple H’s leadership. The potential that Hogan can feature Saturday Night’s Main Event, or even interact with Ventura, could give this 2024 edition a historic highlight.
High-profile matches at this star-studded event already include Cody Rhodes vs Kevin Owens for the Undisputed Championship. Also, Gunther vs Finn Balor vs Damien Priedt for the Heavyweight title, and there should be more surprises to come.
