Giulia hasn’t been on SmackDown long but she’s already caught the eye of the bosses and WWE is reportedly ready to make her a regular on Friday nights.
According to PWInsider.com there’s talk within WWE that Giulia will be getting “a lot of spotlight” in the coming weeks. No details yet on what that means exactly but fans are already watching closely after what happened on the June 6th episode of SmackDown.
After arriving in NXT in September 2024, it didn’t take her long to climb the ranks. Giulia won the NXT Women’s Championship just four months later at New Year’s Evil. The reign lasted 63 days but that was enough to get her a main roster call-up this spring. Nick Aldis signed her to SmackDown and since then she’s been quietly building momentum.
Now that momentum might be turning into something more.
On the June 6 episode of SmackDown, Giulia got involved in Zelina Vega’s match. First, helping Vega fend off Piper Niven then immediately dropping her with a surprise attack. It didn’t go unnoticed. After that, backstage, Vega said next week she will address Giulia head-on.
There’s no official match yet but WWE has started building something between them. Giulia has been in the Money in the Bank ladder match and is now circling the Women’s U.S. Championship. It does look like WWE sees her as a long-term SmackDown player, and if the direction holds, she could be going straight to the title.
