More fuel was added to the growing rumors that WWE founder Vince McMahon could be returning to the wrestling industry with a new promotion.
“83 Weeks” podcast co-host Conrad Thompson revealed last month the word around the entertainment business was that McMahon’s new rumored venture will actually be a return to the industry he took to new heights.
“There’s been lots of speculation, lots of rumor and innuendo about Vince McMahon starting a company,” he said.
Matt Riddle suggests he has also heard Vince McMahon is working on a new wrestling promotion
Well, this week, former WWE tag champion Matt Riddle added some fuel to the rumors during a conversation with the “Going Ringside” podcast.
“Through the grapevine, I’ve heard Vince has another company,” Now working on the independent scene, Riddle noted he would not be against once working with his former boss. “I’m interested in anybody, bro. I’m an independent contractor. Unlike when I was under contract with WWE, I can actually work anywhere and wherever I want, when I want, for how much money I want,” he said.
McMahon was recently spotted at an NBA game between the New York Knicks and Miami Heat in his latest public appearance since being ousted from WWE due to an ongoing lawsuit.
At this point, there’s no concrete evidence he’s actually working on a new promotion. Undeniably, McMahon’s wrestling legacy is unquestionable. Will he return to try something new again, though? We are currently in the dark and have to wait until we know more.
