Big Elimination Chamber Spoiler Emerges About Change To Main Event, New Expected Men’s Winner Revealed

A pair of huge reports suggests some major changes have occurred to what WWE originally planned for the main event of Saturday’s Elimination Chamber PLE.

This weekend brings the last major stop on the road to WrestleMania 41. At this year’s Royal Rumble, Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair punched their tickets to a title match at April’s mega-event. In the weeks since, Uso has decided to face Gunther for the World Heavyweight title while Flair will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Now, this weekend’s Elimination Chamber matches will decide who will face Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 41. Heading into the card, the overwhelming favorite to battle the WWE Undisputed Champion is WWE icon John Cena. He is a strong option since he will be competing in his final WrestleMania and will attempt to be the first 17-time world champion in wrestling history.

On Friday, Wrestling Observer reported that there are quite a few people in WWE creative upset about how The Rock’s return last week has forced major changes to plans they had for April. And that the scheduled bout that could be affected is Rhodes vs. Cena.

If John Cena is not going to win the men’s Elimination Chamber match, then who will it now be? This week, Sportskeeda reporter Dr. Chris Featherstone claimed that Drew McIntyre is allegedly penciled in to win this Saturday’s main event.

Cody Rhodes is expected to answer The Rock’s offer to be “his champion” at the Elimination Chamber. He is sure to decline the offer. There has already been internet speculation McIntyre could instead take the offer to become the 2025 version of “The Corporate Champion.” An alliance between the two does make sense and they have been friends for some time.

The Rock was actually the one who broke the news that McIntyre had signed a new contract last year.
