The Attack on Jade Cargill that happened on last week’s WWE SmackDown episode has garnered interest lately. Some have speculated the storyline is inspired by real-life backstage problems. An unidentified assailant attacked her backstage last Friday, and Cargill was found unconscious and bloodied.
That incident happened during a Women’s United States Championship Tournament match against Chelsea Green and Blair Davenport. Belair, who had discovered Cargill’s condition, ran to her partner’s side before exiting the scene to check on her. She then accompanied her in the ambulance to the hospital.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo believes there’s a twist in store for fans while they process this.
Could Bianca Belair be behind Jade Cargill’s attack?
Russo said on his Legion of RAW podcast that the storyline could be similar to real-life tension between Cargill and Belair. In fact, he even theorized that Belair could be the attacker — and that she be the villain going forward.
“Yeah, I think the word on the street is that there’s some heat between the two of them in the back. I think yes, that’s gonna be the storyline.” He continued, “I think Bianca did it. So if Bianca did it, she’s gonna be the heel.” [8:12]
With Survivor Series around the corner, the storyline comes at the perfect time. The Women’s WarGames match participation of Jade Cargill has been thrown into question and the possibility of Belair turning heel could create a shift in WWE’s women’s roster. WWE now teases its next move and fans are eagerly waiting for answers.
