“There are currently no plans in the foreseeable future to turn Cody Rhodes heel. The recent wave of online speculation, some of which was fueled by Cody Rhodes himself, was a strategic misdirection aimed at the more hardcore audience. WWE has little interest in turning their biggest babyface into a bad guy.
“One source jokingly said it would be awkward seeing a smiling Cody Rhodes on Minute Maid packaging throughout thousands of grocery stores and gas stations while he’s playing a villain on TV.”
That statement puts a lid on the speculation—for now. WWE seems committed to keeping Cody as their top good guy, and any heel turn looks to be off the table for the foreseeable future.
