A huge potential Royal Rumble spoiler has emerged about the return of a “Phenomenal” two-time former WWE Champion.
We are just days away from the first major premium live event on the WWE calendar. While WrestleMania is the biggest PLE each year, for many long-time fans the Royal Rumble is a close second. First, because it begins the road to WrestleMania. Second, the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches have huge ramifications for storytelling over the next few months.

Along with the importance of the two battle royale matches and how they set up other big matches, surprise entrants are what make the Rumble so special. This year’s edition is expected to be no different. And surprise appearances will help boost what is an already stacked men’s Royal Rumble match.
Well, on Monday a major new report revealed another huge name that could make his return at Saturday’s event after a far longer-than-expected stint on the injury list.
AJ Styles expected to make long-awaited return at the 2025 Royal Rumble?

“We are told that WWE is hoping that AJ Styles will be cleared and able to return this weekend at the Men’s Royal Rumble,” PW Insider Elite reported today. “We are told he is slated to be in Indianapolis.”
After falling to Cody Rhodes a second time for the undisputed WWE title in June, Styles took a four-month hiatus while the company figured out his long-term creative. He finally made his return on an October edition of Smackdown in a match against Carmelo Hayes. Unfortunately, the two-time WWE Champion suffered an injury that was later diagnosed as a Lisfanc issue.
In social media posts over the last couple of months, he has been open about how difficult it has been for him to recover from the nerve injury. However, it looks like he is ready to return for what is believed to be his retirement run in the company.
