Former WWE Divas Champion and current All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Saraya has sparked speculation about a potential return to WWE.
The former Diva, who wrestled as Paige, hasn’t been with WWE since her release in 2022. She was forced to retire in 2018 due to a neck injury. But she made her in-ring return in 2022 as a member of the AEW roster. Winning the company’s Women’s Championship and facing top stars like Toni Storm, Hikaru Shida, and Jamie Hayter. However, she recently suggested AEW may not have space for her anymore.
Earlier this week, Saraya teased a WWE return with a cryptic post on X. She posted the opening line from her old WWE entrance theme, “Tear the stars out from the sky.” Oddly enough, Saraya revealed recently that her AEW contract expires in September, and she’s been on a non-injury hiatus since October 2024.
Saraya’s Contract Status and WWE Comments
In a recent interview with Booker T and Brad Gilmore on the Hall of Fame podcast, Saraya left the door wide open to a potential return to her former employer.
“I love WWE, and I don’t have any negative feelings towards them,” she said. “I mean they raised me. They saved me a lot. I just appreciate them so much, and the idea of going somewhere else was only because of the potential of my brother being there. That was like a big thing, I just wanted him to be a success in wrestling, you know?
“If there was something that they needed from me, I would definitely go there. Yeah, absolutely, it would be silly not to. If there’s an opportunity to do something fun, hell yeah, I’ll jump on board.”
