WWE Rumors: Fired Employee Thinks Big E Cost Him His Job

It seems that former WWE Champion Big E becoming a key part of the company’s pre and post event content probably led to jobs being lost this year in the media department.

Over the last decade, Big E turned into one of the most beloved performers on the WWE roster. As one third of the New Day he would go on to be a multi-time tag champion, a Money in the Bank winner, and in 2021 he achieved the ultimate goal of becoming WWE Champion.

Unfortunately, the future Hall of Famer’s career was abruptly halted three years ago when a freak accident in a match saw Big E suffer a broken neck. While he did not get paralyzed from the injury, it has left his neck in a condition where it is too dangerous to restart his career at the moment.

In his time away from the ring, E has shifted to a media role for WWE before and after events. As well as being a part of other WWE entertainment content. However, it seems his rise on that side of the company has led to some losing their jobs.

Big E cost Greg Miller his job in WWE?

Former IGN editor and video host Greg Miller recently revealed this week that he is no longer employed by WWE. The one-time “This Is Awesome” host joined the company in 2022. He revealed in a video post on his Kinda Funny YouTube channel more details on his release and a reason why he believes it happened.

“I knew this day was coming,” Miller said [h/t Wrestling Headlines]. “I was actually just hoping to skate by a little bit longer on the WWE.com Superstars page. So that I could keep saying I was a WWE Superstar… The people who make ‘This Is Awesome’ were actually laid off in January. And I was like, well, that’s not good. Now there’s no one there to actually make it happen.”

“… You’ve seen Big E come out and host a bunch of different shows. And I think more than anything, that’s like, ‘Yeah, this is why it doesn’t make sense for Greg Miller, video game dork, to go host anything.’”
