WWE SummerSlam Night 1 Results & Match Grades: Evaluating the Best, Worst Matches on Saturday

The wait is over because SummerSlam 2025 is finally here. This year’s edition of the yearly summer extravaganza will be a special two-night event. And Saturday night’s card featured a boatload of high-profile matchups.

In the headliner, WWE legend CM Punk will look to win his first world title in the company in over 10 years when he takes on World Heavyweight Champ Gunther. Tiffany Stratton will defend her WWE Women’s Championship in a huge matchup against Queen of the Ring winner and former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill.

Plus, the “Original Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns, returns to action for the first time since WrestleMania 41 when he tags with cousin Jey Uso against young monsters Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
