Lastly, the show closed out with a huge tag team title showdown which was a amazing showdown, only to end in havoc at the hands of the returning Wyatt Sicks faction.

Best Match
The best match of the night undoubtedly went to the main event. The Street Profits defended the WWE Tag Team Championships against Nathan Frazer and Axiom. It was an instant classic presentation of tag team wrestling. From dives to combination moves and multiple nearfalls, it was indeed an ‘Awesome’ match as the fans loudly chanted. However, the ending of the match was something that left the fans completely shocked.
Worst Match
The women’s tag team match between the team of Michin and B-Fab against The Secret Service did not have any pop except for Chelsea Green’s entrance. The crowd was not invested, and even US Champion Zelina Vega’s presence did not make much difference to the bout.
Noteworthy Moments
One of the top moments from WWE SmackDown was R-Truth’s passionate promo directed towards John Cena ahead of their WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event match. The former WWE US Champion had his eye on the task of bringing Cena back to the good side and did not show any fear heading into the match against the relentless 17-time WWE Champion.
Another major highlight of the night was Giulia‘s in-ring debut on SmackDown after signing with the blue brand last week. She had a successful first night on WWE SmackDown this week, defeating Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Similarly, for the men’s side, LA Knight capitalized in the high-stakes Money in the Bank qualifying match at the perfect moment. As Aleister Black nailed Shinsuke Nakamura with the Black Mass, The Megastar pushed him out of the ring and pinned Nakamura to steal the win and qualify for the ladder match.
The last noteworthy moment on WWE SmackDown came during the singles match between Chris Sabin and Tomasso Ciampa. Following a spectacular showdown that led to a ‘This is Awesome’ chant breaking out, an unexpected turn took place in the closing moments of the match. Candice LeRae came out of nowhere to attack Sabin as the referee was not looking, which allowed Ciampa to take a knee strike and pin him for the win.
Holy Sh!@ Moments
One of the most jaw-dropping moments took place on WWE SmackDown in the main event of the show. As the tag team title match was about to end, The Wyatt Sicks made their shocking return to WWE after months and laid out everyone in sight. The demonic force closed the show, posing in the middle of the ring with a birthday cake for the late Bray Wyatt.
Lowlights
J.C. Matteo and Jacob Fatu worked as a team to battle Jimmy Uso and Rey Fenix despite initial tensions between them. Solo Sikoa distracted Uso to give Matteo the opportunity to hit him with a thunderous powerslam and pick up the win for his team.
The segment between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre that broke out into a brawl right from the start was more like a filler to build hype for the upcoming Steel Cage match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Another announcement for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw a fifth match being added to the card. Following their altercations on WWE SmackDown this week, Zelina Vega will defend her WWE Women’s United States Championship against Chelsea Green at the event.
What’s in store for WWE SmackDown next week
Multiple announcements were made for next week’s WWE SmackDown. One of them will see the current Undisputed WWE Champin John Cena making his return to the blue brand. Similarly, The EST of WWE, Bianca Belair will also make her comeback after being out of action due to her finger injury.
The Money in the Bank qualifying matches will continue next week. On the women’s side, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Nia Jax will compete in the high-stakes match. For the men’s side, WWE US Champion Jacob Fatu, Carmelo Hayes, and Andrade El Idolo will compete in the triple-threat showdown.
