Best Match

This week’s SmackDown presented one of the most explosive tag team matches for the main event, which was the best in-ring bout of the night. The match saw old tag team partners Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso take the fight to Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga following their in-ring segment at the start of the show.

The match saw a highly captivating and compelling in-ring showdown with power-packed moves and spots. The ending was also a coordinated win for Cody and Jey as Uso launched himself outside the ring on Jacob Fatu while Cody Rhodes executed the Cross Rhodes to seal the win. But even more, the closing moments of the show was a real shocker.

Out of the six in-ring matches that took place, the bout between Carmelo Hayes and Akira Tozawa was the least impressive. It was short and a filler match on the card, with the crowd having no inclination towards the same.

Noteworthy Moments

Tiffany Stratton going face-to-face with her idol, Charlotte Flair, hinting at a potential WrestleMania 41 clash, was a major highlight. The fans have been waiting for this match fo a long time and could finally see it happening this year at The Show of Shows.

Another noteworthy moment was Jey Uso’s explosive entrance at the start of the show. But what was more interesting was Cody Rhodes coming out and hinting at the end of their friendship if Jey chose him as his WrestleMania 41 opponent.

The last spectacular moment came in the triple threat Elimination Chamber qualifier between Drew McIntyre, Jimmy Uso, and LA Knight. The bout saw The Scottish Warrior outlast his opponents with a timely Claymore Kick to LA Knight’s back as he attempted a BFT on Jimmy Uso and is now heading to the Men’s Elimination Chamber match.

Holy Sh!@ Moments

The biggest Holy Sh!@ moment came at the end of the show with the return of Solo Sikoa, who had walked out of SmackDown following his loss to Roman Reigns on RAW on Netflix. He came in the end and took down Cody Rhodes with a Samoan Spike.

Another surprising moment came during Alexa Bliss’ match against Candice LeRae for a spot in the Women’s Elimination Chamber. This was her first singles match since returning at the 2025 Royal Rumble event. WWE fans watching SmackDown saw a glitch appearing during their match, which was similar to the hints that were dropped before the debut of The Wyatt Sicks.

Following that, Alexa Bliss executed Bray Wyatt’s iconic finisher, Sister Abigail to win the match. This could be hint towards Bliss joining the demonic faction and embracing her old dark roots.

Lowlights

Pretty Deadly’s interruption of DIY celebrating the title defense at the Royal Rumble and the impromptu match was a lowlight for the night. Moreover, WWE killed off the momentum with their decision to have them lose to Pretty Deadly in a match that was also made in an abrupt fashion.

Whatโ€™s in store for SmackDown next week

Nia Jax announced during the Charlotte Flair segment that SmackDown GM Nick Aldis had granted her a rematch for the WWE Women’s Championship against Tiffany Stratton for next week’s show.
