Quick Results:

  • LA Knight retains the US Title against Carmelo Hayes. There may have been a little help from Andrade.
  • Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill retain the women’s tag team titles over Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend from NXT. Solid showing by the duo from MetaFour.
  • Naomi defeated Nia Jax, thanks to plenty of involvement from Liv Morgan and company.
  • Solo Sikoa defeated Jimmy Uso. Post-match, the new Bloodline laid out both Uso and Roman Reigns, who had come to his aid.

Best Match:

This week didn’t truly have a great standout match. I am going with Solo and Jimmy, which was just good enough, for this reason. Simply stated, it has all of the surrounding interesting bits and pieces of the Bloodline. And we all at least suspect that the way things are unfolding, we are building toward WarGames.

Worst Match:

Sure, they said that Legend and Jackson looked good, and there was hype for the big title opportunity. But…they got all of two minutes, give or take?

Noteworthy Moments:

Compelling opening segment between Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns. Uso noted that Roman needed-and needs-help. They have no wise man, and he (Roman) is a tribal chief without his hardware and without a tribe. Jimmy said he knows one guy who would help-presumably Jey-but Reigns said “no yeet”. Jimmy drilled the point home though, when he said to Roman that Uso is the only one in the family who still acknowledges Reigns as tribal chief.

Seems like Roman is going to have to get help (Heyman) and mend fences to get the help (Jey, Sami) he needs.

Holy Sh@# Moments:

WWE finally did a little acknowledging of the KO-Rhodes incident. Kevin Owens interrupted the ring entrances for the women’s tag title match, and things broke down. Owens of course is saying Cody turned on him. Randy Orton came down to play peacemaker (not that Cena role) and Owens elbowed him. Which led to Orton drilling KO, and then Owens split.

Seems if lines are drawn and sides are picked, Orton may be on Cody’s side? Hard to think he’s going to be Team Kevin after the loading dock beating Owens gave to the Viper.

Lowlights:

Disappointed with the women’s tag title match. That was the big miss of the evening.

Highlights:

Jimmy wants to get a tribal chief a new tribe-same as the old one, perhaps? And we should (hopefully?) get the Wise Man back soon. Also, in spite of the Fightful report indicating a late October debut for the Motor City Machine Guns, we now know they arrive next week. Based on what Nick Aldis said, I would bet that they are the opponent for Angel and Humberto.

After The Final Bell:

This was just another show, for the most part. The biggest item on the show was the progression of the likely WarGames feature match between old and new Bloodline. No new (returning) faces outside of Jimmy, who returned at Bad Blood. But the hints were there, so stay tuned.
