It’s time for SmackDown results for June 14, 2024. This week, with WWE in Scotland, the blue brand becomes blue bloods!

More: RAW Results For June 10, 2024

Quick Results

  • Naomi defeated Chelsea Green. Bayley and Piper Niven kept things interesting ahead of their title match Saturday.
  • Santos Escobar defeated Apollo Crews. Santos needed a little help from Legado, while Crews had backup from Baron Corbin. I liked this match a lot more than I expected.
  • Nia Jax made quick work of Mia Yim.
  • Solo Sikoa defeated Kevin Owens. Post-match, Randy Orton returned to save KO from the Bloodline.

Best Match of the night:

I liked a few of them, but the main event was where it was at. Kevin Owens, for all he’s done the last couple years, may not get enough credit. Orton is Orton, and the same can be said for Heyman. Plus, our new gen Bloodline is starting to come together, just in time for someone else to join them, probably.

Worst match of the night:

Nia Jax and Mia Yim. Matches like these are why I feel the women need that mid-tier belt. Michin does not need to be jobbing out to the Queen, she can be vying for the women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Crowd Chants of the Night:

No chants, just a hot crowd. Sang like, all of that first match for Bayley, and she wasn’t even wrestling!

Star of the Night

Lots of love to go around. Kevin Owens and Solo for starters. Paul Heyman as always. I like what Cody Rhodes and especially AJ Styles are doing ahead of their match too. Lots of small details getting attention paid to them.

Spot of the Night:

Nothing really crazy amazing for me. More like some attacks-like Piper squashing Bayley and Naomi against the wall.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

There wasn’t a great one for this, but I will say, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa for attacking the Street Profits.

LOL Moment of the night:

We have so much time spent on talking segments that we had to have Cedric and Ashanti, plus Pretty Deadly, just shown in the crowd watching the show.

Noteworthy Moment:

I swear Naomi did it on purpose, telling Bayley she wanted a hug. Please, pretty please, can that be the start of things returning to Hugger Bayley?

Overall lowlights:

Not a huge complaint, but still a complaint. This show had a lot of non-wrestling segments. Four matches overall, and the Jax/Yim match was more like a short squash. This is what we sometimes get out of the go-home show, I get it.

Overall highlights:

Hard not to be excited for Clash at the Castle. I think WWE have done plenty right to get us hyped up for it, and the Scotland crowd is going to make it fun.

After the final bell:

That’s it, that is all she wrote. Everything that needed to be said or done has been said and done. No more talking, it’s just about time for Clash at the Castle.
