It’s time for our SmackDown results fo December 6, 2024, and one big question for us is who’s left standing after WarGames.

Quick Results:
- Tiffany Stratton defeats Naomi and Elektra Lopez to advance in the women’s United States title tournament. In her home state, Stratton got a big face reaction.
- Bianca Belair defeats Piper Niven
- DIY defeat the Motor City Machine Guns and are our new tag team champions. Sure looks like the duo had a lot of us fooled.
- Cody Rhodes defeated a game Chad Gable. After the match, a cranky Kevin Owens showed up to attack Rhodes ahead of SNME.
Best Match:
Bianca Belair versus Piper Niven is in the running. After all, a match that gets the audience to chant “this is awesome”, it has to land here.
But…I really enjoyed them all. Cody and Gable was really good. But for me? I liked DIY and the Machine Guns.
Worst Match:
Honestly…nothing to complain about. If I looked at any of these I could make a case for them each to be top match tonight. Solid show, if only four matches.
Noteworthy Moments:
Immediately after WarGames, we knew of two injuries. WWE gave us a very..nice…super slow motion replay of when Bronson Reed broke his foot, and when Jimmy Uso broke his toe.
What we didn’t know? Or at least, I didn’t, is that Tonga Loa suffered a biceps injury and will miss some time as well.
WarGames continues to earn it’s reputation.
And now, after emulating professional sports with it’s drafts, WWE is apparently now opening up a transfer window? Similar to college. With the changes coming in a month, the GMs of all three shows have been chatting and we are going to see talent move around
To be expected, I don’t hate it.
Gotta say, with the Naomi/Bianca/Byron segment tonight, I am 100% convinced it was Naomi, or someone on her behalf.
Holy Sh!@ Moments:
Cody brought up Shorty G when talking to Gable. Damn, old school shots fired.
The Profits got attacked, and it opened up a chance for DIY to have a tag title match against the Machine Guns. What are the odds this was Ciampa…
Seems like a bit of a downgrade. After a loss at WarGames, Solo Sikoa and the remaining new Bloodline took out Apollo Crews and security in the back. And later, they went after LA Knight and Andrade when the faces wanted a piece of Shinsuke Nakamura.
Lowlights:
Zero disrespect to Lopez, but considering how little she has wrestled? She was in there to take the pin. There have to be other Superstars worthy of a shot, no?
Highlights:
The whole show. It was good top to bottom. Setting up Saturday Night’s Main Event, which is getting me excited. Even had Jesse “The Body” Ventura there (a Minnesota guy) who will be working the announce desk in Long Island.

After The Final Bell:
Interesting post-WarGames SmackDown, for sure. I was not immediately thrilled with the downshift for Solo and company. But I want to see where this goes. And I can’t help but wonder if plans adjusted with Tonga Loa (and Bronson Reed) out for a bit. We’ve got one more SmackDown and then it’s time to get familiar with Saturday Night’s Main Event one more time!
