It’s time for the RAW results for September 16th, 2024, and it’s a big night for football versus wrestling, so let’s see what WWE gives us!

Quick Results:
- Pete Dunne defeats Sheamus with help from a cricket bat. Pretty sure I’ve never seen a cricket bat used as a foreign object in a wrestling match before tonight.
- Natalya rolls up Zoey Stark for another big win over part of Pure Fusion Collective.
- Judgement Day retains the tag titles over New Day, thanks to some major chaos caused by the rest of Judgement Day and LWO brawling, joined by Kofi, which distracted the ref. The chaos caused the loss and some frustration coming out from Xavier Woods.
- Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman never happened, it was just a pre-bell brawl.
- IYO SKY defeats Bianca Belair in a really fun match.
- Damian Priest defeats Dom Mysterio. Post-match, Judgement Day immediately jumps Priest. Rhea tries to do her best, but the numbers are too much. Jey Uso ran in to help the faces, but he hesitated and was taken out by Bron Breakker, who had been hiding.
Best Match:
For sheer fun, even if it was a bit too busy? The main event. But in terms of a generally good match? Give me IYO SKY and Bianca Belair. That was very enjoyable.
Worst Match:
Natalya and Zoey Stark was not bad, honestly. But it wasn’t great, and the missing bit? Chemistry perhaps, or some reason to get invested. Pure Fusion Collective isn’t doing it for me, and the trio they now are dealing with isn’t helping them either.
Noteworthy Moments:
Silly me, I expected Bron Breakker versus Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship to be at Bad Blood, but it will happen next week on RAW instead. I suppose it fell victim to the five match target for a PLE card? Or we will get a rematch going into that PLE. Stay tuned.
CM Punk had a really strong-short, too-promo to open the show. Lots of other backstage segments, between Judgement Day and the Terror Twins. Or the Terror Twins and Jey Uso. You get the idea, but they were all good. Very curious to see what happens with New Day now too. Kross planted seeds of doubt, Xavier is at Kofi’s throat, and the 10 year New Day anniversary is just about here. Will they even make it? Maybe Odyssey dodged one here?
Gunther wants a challenger, just not one named Sami Zayn. Some of this is feeling a bit like the Road to WrestleMania though-Zayn takes a ton of abuse and overcomes. I don’t mind it, I just don’t expect the same end result.
Holy Sh!@ Moments:
Call it rigged, call it a spectacle. But before Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman even had the bell rung to start their match, the top rope was busted. Not long after that, Reed launched a plant (fan, not a shrub) at Strowman like a dart. It was a crazy non-match.
Lowlights:
I want Pure Fusion Collective to get heat. They should be hated heels, but instead there seems to be disinterest. I blame part of this on having that group face off with an also-heel Damage CTRL to debut. It has not clicked since. Maybe it’s just me?
Highlights:
I felt like this episode of RAW had a really good flow to it. Maybe not the best show, but up against a good Monday Night Football offering, it was a good effort from WWE. Bad Blood is getting closer and is shaping up nicely
