Quick Results:

  • The Creeds defeated Otis and Tozawa. Post-match, we had more fun with the Wyatt Sick6.
  • Big Bronson Reed defeated Sheamus
  • Jey Uso defeated Carlito
  • Sami Zayn got the win over Dom Mysterio via DQ when JD McDonagh and Carlito interefered. Jey made the save, and then Bron tried to attack Sami, but Zayn got the upper hand.
  • Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark defeated Lyra Valykria, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. Post-match, Damage CTRL ran off the newer heel stable.
  • Gunther defeated Finn Balor. After the match, the challenger wasn’t releasing his submission move, prompting Priest to come out and let the two get physical one final time before they fight in Cleveland.

Best Match

I personally enjoyed Sami and Dom as well as Gunther and Finn Balor. I honestly didn’t hate the 6 woman tag match either.

Worst Match

Probably Bronson Reed and Sheamus this week, because it just felt like it was killing time. I’d like to see them each get into something more meaningful.

Holy Sh!$ Moment

The opening segment probably needed a brawl, but WWE has set that up so that no one can touch anyone until Cleveland. Everyone involved has an issue with the other men-and that means Seth Rollins too, not just Drew and Punk. I can’t tell if perhaps Rollins still isn’t 100%, or WWE sees this as setting up something bigger? I get not wanting a three way, because any combo of the 3 as a one on one is going to be a top draw. The opening segment made sure we all knew that.

Noteworthy Moment

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen him around WWE, but Jesse Ventura was in the house on Monday. I would have loved him being more involved, maybe call a match or two if he still has those iconic pipes.

Highlights Of The Night:

Well for these RAW results, I think the highlights for me go back to the opening segment for starters. The closing match and after-match-action for another. And then, a nod to the Wyatt Sick6. We all knew who they were, though they’d never been unmasked on screen until tonight (except for Bo). And when Gable told Pearce, our crafty GM was like, of course I knew who was in the group, they have contracts. Not that that was a shot at like, Retribution, but that was always the stupidity of that angle-“no one knew who they were” except when the masks fell off. And they all had free reign around WWE facilities. But I digress.

Strong show as our final RAW results before SummerSlam. And it should be a big one. RAW is giving us three major matches that should drive fans wild. Punk-Drew, Gunther-Priest, Sami and Bron all should be really good. And for the RAW after? It’s going to be Dakota and Sonya, as well as a 6 man between Gable, the Creeds and 3 members of the Wyatt Sick6. My one thing I have yet to figure, is what’s going to happen with Deville’s trio versus Damage CTRL, both groups are heels and none have shown any inkling of a face turn thus far. Stay tuned.
