The March 3rd, 2025, edition of WWE RAW saw some intriguing segments, three title matches, and a major championship changing hands, changing the complexion of the road to WrestleMania 41.
Quick Results
- Gunther defeated Otis in a singles match.
- Lyra Valkyria defeated Ivy Nile to retain her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
- The War Raiders picked up the win over The Creed Brothers to retain their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
- IYO Sky defeated Rhea Ripley to become the new WWE Women’s World Champion.
Best Match
The candidate for this week’s best match on RAW has to go to the main event of the night between IYO Sky and Rhea Ripley. The match was contested for Ripley’s WWE Women’s World Championship with the No.1 contender for the title at WrestleMania 41, Bianca Belair, watching at ringside. The explosive match between Ripley and IYO was a captivating showdown.
The fans witnessed the high-flying ability of IYO Sky going up against the dominant strength of Mami. As the match came towards its end, Ripley had IYO on the top rope. But she took her eye off the ball, taunting Bianca Belair, and this led to IYO Sky dropping him to the mat. The Genius of the Skies followed it up with an Over The Moonsault on Ripley to score the pinfall and become the new champion.
Worst Match

The other Women’s title match of the night was between Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, which turned out to be a disappointing bout. The fans were not into the match, which was built up without a proper storyline. Even their impressive in-ring moves and spots failed to captivate them, unlike the women’s match in the main event.
Noteworthy Moments
The biggest highlight of the night was CM Punk‘s opening segment on RAW, followed by the events that transpired. Punk launched a verbal assault on John Cena, The Rock and lastly his arch-rival, Seth “Freakin” Rollins. The duo engaged in an all-out brawl ringside and later on in the backstage area.

Another interesting highlight was Chad Gable’s vignette airing on WWE RAW. He was seen walking in the street and encountering a man who told him the importance of lucha and claimed that he did not understand it. Gable then handed him some cash for a box and was delighted upon opening it.
The noteworthy moment was the epic tag team encounter match between The War Raiders and The Creed Brothers, who put on an excellent display of tag team wrestling. The ending was worthwhile, seeing as Erik and Ivar hit the springboard clothesline-German suplex combination on Brutus Creed to retain their WWE World tag team titles.
Holy Sh!@ Moments

The biggest Holy Sh!@ moment of this week’s WWE RAW had to be IYO dethroning Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World title and taking her spot in a title match against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41.
The dominant display of the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Bron Breakker, and a particular spot was another Holy Sh!@ moment of the night. His interview with Jackie Redmond on the concourse was interrupted by Finn Balor and The Judgment Day. A verbal altercation led to Breakker charging to the ring to brawl with Balor and taking him down with a military press. Next, it was Carlito who felt the wrath of the Wolf Dog taking a thunderous spear.
Lowlights

Gunther’s match with Otis and his recent turning his attention to them instead of Jey Uso have not garnered any reactions this week or last week. However, the only saving grace in this was Jey Uso coming out to save The Alpha Academy from his WrestleMania 41 opponent. He valiantly fought Gunther and A-Town Down Under on his own. But ultimately fell to the sleeper held by The Ring General in the middle of the ring.
Another lowlight was the segment between Penta and Ludwig Kaiser. His promo towards Penta did not have any significant reactions, but the masked luchador’s arrival and taking down Kaiser was the only good part of the segment.
What’s in store for RAW next week?
Adam Pearce made a huge match official for next week’s edition of WWE RAW. The show that is set to take place in Madison Square Garden will be headlined by a Steel Cage match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins.
Also, The New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will battle LWO’s Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee in a Tornado Tag Team Match. Jey Uso will square off against Grayson Waller, and AJ Styles will be calling out The Maverick Logan Paul.
