In wrestling, it may be hard to plan ahead…but WWE’s Chad Gable plans to be a part of Special Olympics 2026 Games in his home state of Minnesota. Why is this a big deal?
Well, for me, hearing any WWE Superstar out of a select few making long range plans is refreshing. It was not all that long ago where Superstars were nervous about their long term viability within the company. Though, we did also see some Australian Superstars get excited about the 2024 Elimination Chamber announcement last year…only to be abruptly terminated.

In a recent interview with Fightful, Chad Gable opened up about a wide variety of things. But one got my attention the most. It was noted by the interviewer that Gable does a great deal of community outreach with and for WWE. The leader of Alpha Academy called such engagement one of the best parts of his job, and used that opportunity to call one upcoming event out.
The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games will be taking place in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In case you didn’t know this…Gable calls the Twin Cities home. He noted that he has already had conversations with WWE about being involved with the event. Given his current status within the company, it’s not impossible to expect him to remain with the company beyond 2026. Regardless, it is awesome to hear how excited Chad Gable is for the Special Olympics Games.. And more so how important it is for him to be involved in it.
As a former Special Olympics volunteer myself, I can appreciate the enthusiasm. Supporting and participating in those events is a truly amazing experience. Involvement from individuals like Chad Gable just helps make those events even more special. Honestly, how great it is for Chad Gable to be part of the Special Olympics 2026.
