NXT’s newest champion, Ricky Saints, is already earning high praise from some of WWE’s biggest stars. And one in particular believes the North American belt is just the beginning for the rising talent.
Ricky Saints made an impact in WWE right away, winning the NXT North American Championship just weeks after his debut. A rare feat for NXT’s fast-paced standards. He’s already being compared to some of the brand’s most explosive legends, like Kevin Owens or Carmelo Hayes.
During an appearance on WWE’s Die Woche, fellow AEW alum and WWE co-worker Jade Cargill talked about her close relationship with Saints and the work ethic that’s already impressed the locker room.
Jade Cargill calls Ricky Saints a ‘visionary‘
“I’m excited. Seeing what he visualized,” Cargill said. “He’s a visionary, and he sees what he wants, and I’m so happy for him because he puts in so much work in this industry. He puts so much work, he cares so much.”
“… He’s gonna take over this industry,” Cargill continued. “It’s just the beginning. He’s been here for what? Two months maybe? Maybe a month? And he’s already obtained a title? It’s only gonna keep on coming and coming and coming. So much gold is gonna keep on coming.”
She closed by doubling down on her belief in Saints’ future: “I’m proud of him, I’m so proud of him, and he put his head down, and he did the work, and he’s gonna continue to do the work.”
Both of them are appearing during WrestleMania 41 weekend. Ricky Saints will defend his NXT North American Championship in a singles match at NXT Stand & Deliver. Meanwhile, Cargill will face Naomi in a big singles match on the WrestleMania 41 card.
