After the unbelievable reaction of French WWE fans at Backlash 2024, the company announced today they are heading back to France for another premium live event this year.
WWE will return to France on August 31 for Clash in Paris. The event will be the promotion’s first-ever PLE in the French capital as it continues to go big in major markets around the world.

Clash in Paris comes on the heels of a string of international events last year. Furthermore, earlier this year, WWE announced the 2026 Royal Rumble will be in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the first time the event will be held outside of North America. And 2025 has several other international stops lined up. Including the “Road to WrestleMania European Tour,” which is an 11-city tour throughout Europe in countries like Spain, Italy, and Belgium.

France has become a major market for WWE recently, with Backlash 2024 in Lyon, France breaking records and showing the European fanbase is passionate.
“Backlash France in Lyon last year broke arena records and decibel levels. Demonstrating just how loud and passionate our WWE fans in France can be,” Chief Content Office Paul Levesque said in a statement. “We believe Clash in Paris and Raw will attract people from around the world to Paris and once again create a true spectacle.”
The Paris La Défense Arena is the biggest indoor arena in Europe, with a capacity between 30,000 and 45,000. It has also hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment. WWE also revealed it will be broadcasting Monday Night Raw from the arena the following night.
