Vince McMahon’s wife Linda has reportedly landed a role in the new administration of President-Elect Donald Trump. And it is far bigger than the one she had during his previous tenure as president.
Incoming United States President Donald Trump has an interesting history with WWE. His legendary hotels in Atlantic City, New Jersey have served as the home of quite a few major events, including WrestleMania 4 and 5 during the late 1980s.

However, the former reality star expanded on that relationship at WrestleMania 23 in 2007 when he was one-half of the “Battle of the Billionaires.” In that match, he backed Bobby Lashley in a match against Umaga and his benefactor Vince McMahon. The clash ended with Lashley winning and the WWE founder having his head shaved.
That long working relationship led to a friendship between Trump, McMahon, and his wife Linda. That connection paid dividends in 2017 when Trump gave Linda McMahon the role of leading the Small Business Administration. Well, the 78-year-old will begin a second term in Washington in January and is again bringing Vince McMahon’s wife with him.

On Tuesday, CNN broke the news that “Trump transition co-chair Linda McMahon is expected to be named as secretary of the Department of Education, four sources familiar with the matter” told the outlet.
The new role is a major step up from the position she held from 2017 to 2019. However, CNN claims leading the Department of Education is believed to be a consolation prize. After Linda McMahon was passed over for the job of Commerce Secretary. That will instead go to fellow transition co-chair Howard Lutnick.
She is currently the board chair of the America First Policy Institute. A pro-Donald Trump think tank she founded three years ago.
