WWE presented the third edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event since its resurrection back in December 2024. The recent episode proved to be a major success compared to the previous ones after the numbers were revealed.
According to ProgrammingInsider.com, the recent WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event attracted 1.969 million overnight viewers with a 0.54 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The vintage show’s viewership on NBC had been higher than in the last two episodes. Although these numbers only include NBC viewership. It does not include viewers watching on Peacock and other platforms.
The December 14th, 2024, show attracted a viewer count of 1.59 million on NBC. An additional 700,000 viewers tuned in to the show on Peacock. That brought the total viewership to 2.3 million with a 0.42 demo rating. On the other hand, the January 25th, 2025, event drew 1.494 million viewers and a 0.33 demo rating.
The May 25th edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event featured an exciting match card. Top-tier stars like Jey Uso, Logan Paul, Chelsea Green, and others. However, the biggest attraction was the 17-time WWE Champion, John Cena, wrestling in a match. Cena’s huge drawing power could have been a huge reason for the May 25th episode attracting huge viewership.
The Unseen 17 wrestled his former friend R-Truth in a non-title match. He utilized a low blow and AA combination to win the bout. Later that night, Cena came out to attack Jey Uso during his main event title match against Logan Paul. This came after the duo had a heated moment in the backstage area. However, his plans were foiled by the return of his arch-rival, Cody Rhodes.
As for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, it will return to NBC next on July 12th, 2025. So it will be interesting to see if the company will once again feature big names like Cena to take the viewership of the show even higher.
