WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque has revamped the company and taken it to greater heights. His most recent move saw him bring former AEW star Ricky Starks to NXT in shocking fashion on Tuesday. This happened one day after his All Elite Wrestling contract reportedly expired.
The “Absolute One” had been absent from AEW television since March 2024. He continued to make outside appearances and wrestled for other independent promotions. On the February 11th edition of NXT, Starks appeared in the audience out of nowhere and stunned fans in attendance.

Many fans and performers from around the industry have reacted to Starks’ arrival with surprise and excitement. Now, Triple H has broken his silence for the first time regarding his latest acquisition of a former AEW star.
What did Triple H have to say about Ricky Starks’ WWE NXT Debut?

“WWENXT has defined itself as a brand of the future where a break-out performance can ‘put you on the map.’ Tuesday, the audience witnessed the beginning of what can be a future-defining shift,” Triple H said in a social media post featuring a video of Starks’ debut.
Ricky Starks rose to prominence during his stint in AEW. He is known to have exceptional charisma and in-ring acumen. Moreover, that has led to some comparisons to none other than The Rock. Starks is the latest major name from Tony Khan’s company to join WWE after Jade Cargill, Ethan Page, Penta, and Cody Rhodes jumped ship over the last few years.
He is likely to be pushed as a top attraction in NXT over the next year. So it will be interesting to see if Ricky Starks can reach greater heights of success with the power of the WWE machine behind him.
