Stone Cold Steve Austin made a surprise appearance at night two of WrestleMania 41. However, it seems he left some very positive and negative impressions.
Austin — who hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 38– was in Las Vegas this weekend to be inducted into the “immortal moment” wing of the WWE Hall of Fame for his WrestleMania 13 match against Bret Hart. The WWE Hall of Famer rode his ATV to the ring on Sunday night at Allegiant Stadium to announce the attendance numbers before the main event.
Unfortunately, before announcing the numbers, he crashed into the barrier wall around the ring and may have injured a fan. However, what fans saw on camera was actually the second time he crashed the vehicle.
Before he even made it to the ring, Austin drove into the walkway wall. While it didn’t seem serious, it was the start of a wild segment. For those watching at home and wondering why they didn’t see Austin’s first miscue, the incident wasn’t shown on the live broadcast.
Fan footage is already online of both crashes. In the second crash, Steve Austin can be seen losing control of the ATV before bumping the barricade just feet from several fans. The moment is already getting reactions on social media from places like Barstool Sports.
Although the ATV never made contact with the fan at ringside, it startled them enough that WWE President Nick Khan came out to talk to her during the broadcast. Immediately after, Austin went to check on the fan. At the time of writing, it’s unknown if the fan is okay, but after falling, she was seen getting to her feet and continued watching the main event.
