Seth Rollins’ bad blood with CM Punk has been evident for years. Unsurprisingly, he took the opportunity to make a reference to a past infamous Punk incident when asked an intriguing question this week.
Ever since Punk returned to WWE in 2023, Rollins has openly expressed his unhappiness. The Visionary and The Best in the World have also squared off in two monumental matches. Both superstars currently hold a victory over the other.
Recently, Rollins was asked about the possibility of battling Punk in a completely different setting: an MMA cage. He was keen on the idea, mainly for the opportunity to inflict pain on his heated rival. However, Rollins also took a funny jab at the real-life fighting history Punk has with some of his previous co-workers.

“For real? Uh, sure, yeah. I would. Look, I’m not gonna just bust into his locker room backstage and start, you know, lighting him up. But like, if Dana White wanted to book CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins, the first non-UFC fighter vs. non-UFC fighter fight on one of his cards? I’d put on the gloves and give it a go,” he said on the “Outta Pocket RGIII” podcast.
“It might be the only one I do, but yeah—I would. You put me in there with like any of the other guys in my weight class? I’m out. But yeah, I mean, Dana—you want to make some money? Book it, brother. That would be fun.”
Punk and former AEW co-workers the Young Bucks infamously got into a locker room dustup in 2022 at the company’s All Out event. The AEW VPs reportedly stormed into Punk’s locker room to confront him on issues with his creative, and it led to a fight between the WWE legend and the brothers.
While an MMA bout is out of the question for now, Punk and Rollins are set to throw hands on the Grandest Stage of Them All this weekend. They will be a part of the triple-threat match also involving Roman Reigns. The match will be the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night 1 and is set to be a blockbuster match in ‘Mania history.
