Moreover, his recent loss at SummerSlam hinted at his expected departure from the company. However, an update suggests that he and his wife Scarlett might stay with the Stamford-based promotion.
In the recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided new insight into the situation. According to him, Kross has been offered a new WWE contract, and Meltzer did not expect him to leave the promotion.
Karrion Kross was a promising talent during his run in NXT back in 2020. Following a successful tenure, he was repackaged and called up to the main roster. It proved to be a complete failure, and Kross was released in 2021. After a year of absence, Kross and his wife Scarlett made their return to WWE in 2022 under the new creative leadership of WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H.
For the next two years, Kross had only been featured in mid-card programs. However, at the start of 2025, he experienced a major popularity among the fans for his captivating backstage segments. Moreover, Kross’ fame further grew after his work-shoot promo after WrestleMania 41.
For months, the WWE Universe rallied support for Kross and Scarlett’s ascension to the top. Despite that, WWE left him out of major opportunities. However, Kross has been embroiled in an exciting feud with Sami Zayn. The duo last battled in a top showdown at the first-ever two-night SummerSlam event.
Kross lost the bout, which made most assume that he and his wife Scarlett were set to leave WWE upon the expiry of his contract, which reportedly happened this weekend.
