During a recent edition of his podcast, WWE Hall-of-Famer Eric Bischoff took some major shots at Ronda Rousey and her passion for the professional wrestling business.
The former UFC champion has made headlines in the wrestling world over the last week as excerpts from her new book, “Ronda Rousey: Our Fight” reveal hidden opinions on her time in the industry. While most assumed she enjoyed working for WWE and joining the fraternity of professional wrestling, many of her comments in the book say otherwise.

Her thoughts on various executives in WWE, including former CEO Vince McMahon, and how women’s wrestling was promoted has taken many by surprise because no performer received a harder push to the top than the one-time cage fighter.
However, WCW and WWE legend Eric Bischoff is not really surprised by the inner thoughts of the Olympic medalist because he feels she never really had a love for the business. During a new edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, the former Raw general manager claimed that Rousey was an athlete trying to be a performer and he always had doubts about her sincerity, despite never meeting her in person.
Yet, that was probably the nicest thing he said about the former WWE women’s champion in a funny rant about how he always felt about Rousey.
Eric Bischoff says Ronda Rousey lost her passion for ‘everything’ after being knocked out by Holly Holm
“She wasn’t really passionate about what she was doing. I think when Holly Holm knocked her out [in the UFC], she lost her passion for just about everything,” Bischoff said. “She was there for the money. That was my impression, however right or wrong. To hear this all now, it just sounds so bitter and so angry that I kind of feel the way I felt about her when she lost to Holly Holm in UFC when she just came out and was just b****ing about it.

“Look, you get knocked out, and she got knocked the f**k out. I’ve been there. I know how that feels,” he continued, “It is not a great feeling, especially when you go back and watch it over and over and over again and know that the world is watching it over and over. I think something changed in her. I never had a word or conversation with her. I don’t know, but it’s just the way I feel, the vibe I get from her. She’s a bitter, angry woman I think she’s burying herself.”
Rousey ended her five-year run with WWE last year.
