After months of speculation surrounding Roman Reigns’ WWE schedule, fans finally have some clarity. According to the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio, the Tribal Chief is officially slated to appear at the upcoming Premium Live Event in Paris later this August.
For the past year, Reigns has worked a reduced schedule, with most appearances limited to WWE’s “Big 4” events—Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. His absence from weekly programming after SummerSlam had fans wondering if he was once again taking time off.
However, WWE recently advertised Reigns for the August 18th episode of RAW, and earlier today, confirmed his appearance on the August 25th episode as well.
Adding to the excitement, WrestleVotes dropped a key update on their latest show, saying:
“Roman Reigns is indeed scheduled to be part of the upcoming PLE in late August. Sources indicate the decision came relatively late this Summer as Reigns was not part of the early creative plans for the show evident by his absence from the initial promotion.
“Additionally, his matchup is unlikely to be a singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship as the anticipated showdown with Seth Rollins is being saved for a future PLE.”
This statement clears up much of the recent uncertainty, assuring fans they’ll see Roman Reigns in action at one of WWE’s most anticipated international shows of the year. And with Paris known for having one of the most passionate crowds in the wrestling world, his return couldn’t come at a better time.
