WWE Legend Rob Vam Dan Reveals NXT Talent He Wants To Manage And The Choice Is Very Surprising

WWE and ECW legend Rob Van Dam is open to managing a specific star from NXT. But his choice will not at all be who you would expect.

Rob Van Dam is one of the most unique performers in professional wrestling history. He had a surprising resemblance to Hollywood action star Jean-Claude Van Damme. He was doing the marijuana-user gimmick decades before Matt Riddle, and he will go down as one of the greatest athletes the industry has ever seen.

It is why he had such massive success in both ECW and WWE. However, one area of weakness was his mic skills. While they weren’t bad, it was never a part of what made him such a huge wrestling star. That is why he would seem like an odd fit to be a manager. However, Van Dam is actually open to the idea and had a surprising talent in mind to be the mouthpiece for.

Rob Van Dam wants to be Kelani Jordan’s manager?

During an appearance on the “B4 The Bell” podcast this week, Rob Van Dam was asked if there was any performer from today he would want to manage. And the choice just so happens to be a wrestler he had a segment with during an appearance in NXT last year.

“I’m just going to throw this out there because it popped into my head — Kelani Jordan,” RVD said [h/t RingsideNews.com]. “We did a really cool little backstage vignette in November or December when I was at NXT for a second. I don’t think many people saw how cool it was. We both did the splits across the chairs, facing each other. So that’s my answer. I’ll be her manager.”

Most would assume performers like Wes Lee, Je’Von Evans, or Fraxiom might be his choice. But instead, he liked the vibes he got from Jordan during their limited work together. The former North American women’s champion is a gifted athlete in her own right with a lot of upside with more seasoning.
