Report Sets Record Straight On Various Solo Sikoa WrestleMania 41 Rumors

Despite various rumors, new reports say Solo Sikoa was never in the running for a top spot at WrestleMania 41, including two of the show’s biggest moments.

WrestleMania 41 had surprises, stars, and major swerves . But Solo Sikoa was nowhere to be found. That didn’t stop the rumor mill from spinning, though. A report from Chris Featherstone of SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass claimed the former Bloodline leader was in the discussion to be the guest referee for the big John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes night two main event.

Other rumblings suggested that with Kevin Owens out due to neck surgery, Sikoa could be the mystery opponent for Randy Orton. But according to Bodyslam.net’s Cory Hayes, neither of those rumors was true.

“Solo Sikoa was never considered to be Randy Orton’s opponent. And contrary to a report, there were never alternate plans for Solo Sikoa to be special guest referee in the main event match between Cody Rhodes and John Cena.”

Even though he didn’t get a WrestleMania moment, Solo Sikoa should still be a focus of WWE content going forward. The bread crumbs have seemingly been laid for an eventual Sikoa and Jacob Fatu fued in the months ahead.
