While some of them did spend time in the developmental brand, could a potential next Bloodline arrival be heading to NXT first?

NXT is not just a developmental brand for WWE. The youngest of the three shows has been viewed as that, and in many ways it is the WWE finishing school. But more and more we’ve seen established Superstars go back to Orlando to rehab, to reboot or just work with some new talent. Plus, as the brand moves to the CW, WWE is making sure some big names appear to help bring in the eyeballs.
With that being said, since we are all watching to see who lands with the Bloodline next, we may have to look beyond their SmackDown home. Per a report from PWInsider, it seems that the potential next Bloodline arrival will be heading to NXT first. That next arrival is expected to be Hikuleo, the half brother of Tama Tonga and adopted son of Haku. And per that report, as of this moment, Hikuleo is showing up on the NXT roster internally.
Bloodline expanding to Florida
Now, the move likely makes sense. Compared to some in the group, Hikuleo is still newer to the ring. No, he is not green, as he’s worked for nearly a decade. Having Hikuleo refine things and adapt to what WWE expects while spending some time in NXT makes a great deal of sense. What remains to be seen is whether he will be used on television. Or simply working dark matches to get ready for a bigger reveal. It would be interesting to see if he arrives on NXT television. If so, does WWE acknowledge his family ties.
Something else that remains unsettled is what his role in the Bloodline saga would be. Right now, Roman Reigns is severely outnumbered. We expect Jimmy Uso to return, and for Jey to lend a hand too. But that would still leave the original group a man short. Reigns won’t likely want to team with Cody Rhodes for too long.

Some early rumblings had Hikuleo siding with Reigns. This would be interesting, but not unprecedented. While Hikuleo has family ties to the Guerillas of Destiny, we’ve already seen plenty of blood betraying blood in this program. After all, Solo Sikoa is the younger brother of Jimmy and Jey. And there is plenty of animosity between the siblings.
